82nd St Between Columbus and Amsterdam

A quiet block comprised mainly of a police precinct, a church, and several other institutions, this block of 82nd Street is only a short distance away from Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History. A good deal of the street acts as parking for the police, while across the way on the north side lies a collection of stately, residential townhouses. There's a restaurant on the east side of the street and some nice architectural detailing from several eras as you walk along. I'm particularly fond of the styling of the police station. It's an honestly old building from the 60's that doesn't seem to show any hints of renovation. You really can't hate a building that uses blue-glazed bricks for it's facade.

I wish I lived in a blue-brick building.
