3rd Ave Between 72nd St and 74th St

Citibank and Talbots anchor the corners of this vast, boring block. With taller buildings blocking out light all around you the claustrophobia you feel is quite odd, considering how wide 3rd Avenue is. Sure, it's a pleasant enough block with trees and plans lining the sidewalk, but with busses rumbling by the endless line of shops, there's a certain monotony to overcome.

As you head northward there's a few nice signs which pop out of the homogenous landscape -one for EJ's Luncheonette always reminds me of "E.T." because of its lettering. Looking up at all the surrounding apartment buildings, you can catch small glimpses of how people live...I especially liked the green house I thought I saw on top of one building.
