66th St Between Amsterdam Ave and West End Ave

Just north of Lincoln Center, this long block is dominated by the Martin Luther King Jr. School. Featuring a large, multi-facited sculpture on the north-east corner, the school is a mostly-low rise mid-centure structure with a large court yard in the front. The square tile bricks that create the nearly-block-long wall are interesting in their variation.  Some are discolored, some are replaced, some are painted on - but from afar they create a long, orange-brown curtain.

Across the way is a superblock containing several apartment buildings - including one undergoing renovation, and one new one. Due to the openness of the superblock, and the general low-rise quality of the school, this street gets a surprising amount of sun.
