25th St Between 9th Ave and 10th Ave

This incredibly eclectic block is filled with a random assortment of architectural styles, building types, and people. On the north you have an assortment of housing projects that stand taller than most of the other buildings, while the south is mostly older low-rise apartments.

About midway through the block is the Chelsea Recreation Center, which has a distinct chlorinated smell emanating from it. With a mixture of new and old dotting the sidewalk, you can't help but notice the tinges of redevelopment making their way into the area – though for the time being, the different buildings seem to be at peace with each other.
