71st St Between 1st Ave and York Ave

Steps away from the New York Presbyterian Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (sensing a trend?), this block is a mixed bag of apartments, offices and parking garages. The closer you get to York avenue, you start to come across some medical offices, which I assume serve the various hospitals down the block.

While there are some great older apartments here, they're generally overshadowed by some massive high rises. The street was very dark and brooding as a result- it's an odd standout in a neighborhood of generally eclectic interesting selections.
