Hudson St Between Spring St and Charlton St

Inhabited by a series of very similar stone buildings, this block is also home to a handful of newer construction projects. Perhaps it was because I visited on a Sunday, but the block was practically dead- with only a few people walking by. It felt eerily similar to the financial district, but without the towering skyscrapers.

The construction surrounding these blocks seemed mostly about rehabilitating old buildings rather than constructing new ones. There are a few places to grab some food down here, but it seems that this is mostly a street of offices- offices that are closed on Sunday.

Love the first picture, the one with the tree... the light makes it look like the tree is ablaze. An island of fire in the middle of a calm sea. Thanks for sharing your great photos and insights.
