Park Ave Between 74th St and 72nd St

Spotless sidewalks, and massive beige apartment buildings are a dominant feature along these blocks- like they are along most of Park Avenue. Besides a few trees and hidden architectural goodies, the sheer plainness of this area is overwhelming. It's amazing to contrast Park avenue to blocks with more character only steps away.

I suppose there's a certain image to maintain up here, but imagine what would happen if some avant-garde piece of architecture sprouted up in the middle of all this? Sure, there'd be outrage and push-back, but even if it was horrible and ugly, I would fall in love with it simply for the bravery do to such a thing. This part of town could use a shake up.
