Greene St Between 4th St and 8th St

Right in the middle of NYU territory, this short stretch sits comfortably between two oversized blocks to the north and south. Picking up again in SoHo, Greene street begins at 8th Street before being truncated by one of NYU's many plazas. For the most part, the street sits in the shade of several imposing buildings- each with its own unique, and appealing style.

Being the university-centric neighborhood this is, there are several stores and restaurants catering exclusively to students. Plenty of school functions can be seen going on around here on any given day. It's honestly hard to miss. Closer to 8th Street, the NYU influence begins to wane as you start to enter the beginnings of the Union Square area.
