Gold St Between John St and Maiden Ln

An absurdly narrow collection of blocks, this short stretch of Gold Street makes up nearly one-third of its entire length. I almost didn't take any photos here because I wasn't entirely sure this wasn't just an alleyway, but after I nearly got run over by a Chevy, I was convinced.

The first half I walked down was completely void of any noticeable features at street level. By the time you pass Platt Street, things open up a bit into a small open courtyard belonging to Two Gold Street – a new-ish-looking building with a large outdoor seating area. Though the building leaves much to be desired, it is nice to have some sunlight trickle down in this otherwise barren intersection (Google hasn't even cared enough to send their Street View car down this way).

Besides the old hardware store and a few sparse food offerings, there isn't much to lure you down this way – if anything it's a breath of fresh air once you exit out onto the comparatively spacious John Street.
