Irving Pl Between 17th St and 19th St

Walking down Irving Pl is like taking a trip back in time.  The isolated and brief nature of the street creates for a unique atmosphere. My previous visit to Irving, during the first week of this blog, was decidedly lame.  I had hoped to explore a more promising area this time around, and I'd like to think I've succeeded.

The combination of small eateries and shops, old apartments and greenery really makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. There's hardly any vehicle traffic down here. I love looking at the details on the older buildings (some of which have been making way for newer luxury residences), there's a lot to take in here.
