Murray St Between West St and Greenwich St

Like much of downtown Manhattan, the corner of this block starts off in a whirlwind of construction. However, the barricades and cones quickly subside and transform into the cold, sterile, narrow alleyways of banks and businesses. Every couple of steps you can get a peek down the next street and see a glimpse of sunlight, but that's few and far between.
While almost all the buildings on this block are relatively new, and they do attempt to each do something different architecturally, when it comes down to it, the block is bland, dark and hollow.
On the weekend I went, it seemed that gangs of roving skateboarding teenagers had taken over the area – in a completely benign way.
