125th St Between 3rd Ave and 2nd Ave

The businesses of 125th street are a very interesting thing.  On one hand, there are plenty of stores, places to eat and general places of commerce to be had around here.  However, on the other hand there is an unavoidable feeling of desolation. It's perhaps the wide street, or the lack of very tall buildings. Much of the character of the street comes from the age of the buildings and stores in the area.  There's certainly plenty of history to be absorbed here, and it's really great to see so many local businesses thriving (one place even seemed to be opening up a new location a few doors down from where it was).

And of course being close to the east side, the towering entrance to the Robert F Kennedy (TRIBORO!) bridge looms at the end of the street.

This is an interesting capture of East Harlem. You have a great blog, and we wouldn't mind seeing more shots of Northern Manhattan on here. There really are some beautiful parks north of Central Park that would love to be photographed =)
