13th St Between 7th Ave and 6th Ave

Hiding just south of the crowds on 14th Street, this is a generally quiet block comprised of beautiful houses, hidden sushi places, and imposing churches. With rows of flowering trees greeting you on the west end of the street, stoop after stoop has a character all it's own.
My general experience with this street has always been as one that gets me from the F train to the West Village as quickly as possible. I've always loved the abundance of trees and plants, which range from "Well-kept" to "out-of-control".
The street itself is fairly diverse, with a parking garage, restaurants, some commercial space at the end.

hey - that's my block!
the 'imposing' church you mention is actually a coop. there are 15 units and the building was converted from a church in the early 1980s. i live there.
