11th St Between 7th Ave and W4th St

"Picture Perfect" wouldn't even be an adequate phrase to describe this block when I visited this past weekend. "Well" you might say "that's an awfully stupid thing for a photoblogger to claim." While it's true, my main pursuit is to photographically discover the blocks of NY, this particular one had so much special that I could only begin to capture a small percentage of it.

Appearing like some sort of tunnel of greenery off of 7th Avenue, immediately the sounds of the avenue are muffled and leave only slight echos. Two different churches call this stretch home, each rather humble in appearance, though both with special features. I met some nice gentlemen outside the second church on the block who told me a little bit about the building – saying it was landmarked...something I couldn't confirm – before I was on my way.

The street leaves you on West 4th St, which as I've talked about before, it's a great (albeit expensive) place to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping.

So if you ever have an out-of-town friend who complains that the city is too crowded, noisy, or dirty; just drag them down here and tell them to shut up, because chances are, they'll be the noisiest thing around.
