Park Ave Between 39th St and 37th St

Somewhere between Union Square and Grand Central, Park Avenue hits this stride of endless stone monoliths and identical streets. Up around this area, it's interesting to see what small pieces of character can be found. In the attempt to look clean and expensive, these old buildings all share the same featureless fronts – complete with green canopies.

With that said, a clear view of Grand Central, the blooming trees, and the occasional architectural surprise make for a very pleasant walk. There's no businesses or anything of substance around here – you'd have to go to Lexington for that – but the wide sidewalk makes for some express walking.
