Mercer St Between 3rd St and Bleecker St

While NYU rules the roost here, the side streets still claim plenty of space for nice small buildings with interesting characteristics. The park space and buildings on the west side of the street look very strange, and un-New York-like...I almost want to say "German", but I really don't know.

The block itself is full of trees and shade, and is generally pretty quiet. But there isn't much to do beyond the park, the Tanning salon and the NY Sports Club.
