Broadway Between 69th St and 71st St

Despite the tall buildings, this area has a very airy feel, as it opens up just north of here. Much of the architecture here is simply beautiful – with ornate detailing, and vintage signage.

The occasional modern high-rise sits in between many of these buildings, and the stark contrast intrigues me. I like how each style stands out in it's own way.

There were plenty of construction canopies around the block as what appeared to be restoration work went on above.
