28th St Between Park Ave and Madison Ave

This block starts off with a large open-air parking lot on the corner, next to the 28th St 6 Train entrance. It's a bit of an eye-sore, in a way...and I can't imagine why some developer hasn't grabbed this piece of prime land. This corner was featured in the original The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3 where it looked practically identical.

Much of the block seems dedicated to business and eating. The south side of the street is home to CBS Interactive while the north side was mostly smaller, older buildings with equally small shops in them.

Considering how dead Madison Ave can tend to be, and how car-heavy Park ave can be, this area isn't what I would consider a pedestrian hotbed. If it weren't for the strangely placed subway stop here (seriously, 5 blocks?) this street would be barren.
