58th St Between Lexington Ave and Park Ave

With an oddly out-of-place Victoria's Secret anchoring the corner of this drab block, it was nearly impossible suss out any single vibe. Most of the street here is under construction, and not any one of the buildings stand out as noteworthy.

Though it's not entirely true, you get the feeling that this is more of a back alley than anything. It feels as if you're not experiencing the front of any of the buildings, but the back - complete with loading docks. Sure, you have the library branch, and some nice plants sitting on the sidewalk, but overall it's incredibly depressing.

Considering how constricted Lexington Ave can be, it's a rather nice breath of fresh air when you finally make it to the wide open canyon of Park Ave.
