83rd St Between Columbus Ave and Amsterdam Ave

This must be some sort of hotbed of rental car activity. On this one block you'll find Avis, Thrifty and Enterprise, all competing for your driving needs. Of course, with rental cars there's always parking garages, and this block has more than enough.

For such a simple-looking block, there's a lot of businesses to be found here. Not to mention the fire house, school and post office as well! Overall it's a well-balenced selection, though I don't envy the residents when the fire engines come blaring out of the station.

Most of the buildings here seemed to be older, with the exception of the post office; though even that seemed rather classic in it's styling.
