90th St Between 1st Ave and 2nd Ave

This block has a whole variety of styles going on: From modern, to mid-century, to ornate, to just old. The street itself is very narrow – there was a moving van trying to get some stuff unpacked while I was walking, and even the smallest cars had a heck of a time squeezing through.

Because of how narrow it is, even the short buildings around here provide quite a bit of shade. By the time you get to Second Avenue, with it's towering superblock project sitting just north of you, it's actually rather refreshing to get out of the shade and breathe some air.

This is the best idea for a blog! I was just talking the other day about how hard it is to find an apartment here because the city's entirely different from block to block. I'm really excited to spend hours poring through your entries.
