55th St Between 8th Ave and Broadway

A rather depressing midtown block, this stretch had a surprising number of niche restaurants and hotels. With the majority of the south side of the street taken up with an empty construction pit, you can see the vast expanse of midtown in all of its glory.

Like almost any other block caught between Broadway and another avenue, this one is pretty short. The gray sky and humid weather didn't do much to help my opinion of this street when I visited.
