14th St Between Union Square West and Irving Pl

A venerable nexus of the universe for the bohemian set, Union Square is a whirlwind of activity, commerce and transit. An ever-changing landscape of retail sits across from a stoically-unchanging park. The backdrop to countless meet-ups and hangouts, this stretch of 14th street is absolutely inundated with bus and subway lines.

The south side of the block is a near-impossible-to-penetrate wall of pedestrians, while the park-side is usually a bit easier to navigate. Either way, you'll never be alone in Union Square – regardless of the weather or the time of day. Going further past the tangle of crosswalks, the crowds begin to thin out a bit as you approach Irving Place.
