34th St Between Park Ave and 5th Ave

While not nearly as crowded as the stretch between the Empire State Building and Penn Station, you can certainly feel the impending rumblings as you make your way closer to 5th.  Most of the buildings here, while notable, seem mostly like precursors to the inevitable famous structures to come.

I'd say 4 out of 5 people on these blocks are walking west- towards all the action. It's an obvious, but interesting thing to observe. You figure these people have to leave the Empire State Building and go back eventually. I wonder if there's a slight rush hour effect when it comes to tourists entering and leaving a neighborhood.
