12th St Between University Pl and Broadway

The blocks around Union Square wear their eclectic facades quite well. Running the gamut between expensive apartments and used record stores, this segment of 12th St doesn't offer as much as the streets that surround it, but it still manages to hold its own.

The block is fairly calm and quiet, however it's flanked by two crowded thoroughfares which attract huge crowds on the weekends. University Pl caters to those looking to grab a bite or something to drink (or maybe even bowling), while Broadway is home to the incredible Strand Bookstore and the significantly less-incredible Regal Cinemas. As a result, getting around here on a Saturday night is an exercise in patience and walking agility.
