Woodside Ave Between 62nd St and 65th St

After intersecting Roosevelt Avenue 5 blocks to the west, Woodside Avenue continues on its wayward path. Noticeably less crowded than its subway-covered neighbor, this part of the street opens up quite a bit as it leaps over the Long Island Rail Road tracks.

In the distance you can clearly see the platform for the elevated 7 train, with the LIRR station directly below it. To the south, and perhaps the high point of this stretch, is the boldly-named Stop & Deli. Only in Queens could you mangle up the parts of speech this badly and get away with it. Either "Stop" has become a noun (thus advertising that the establishment offers both "Stops" and "Delis"), or "Deli" has become a verb (as-in "Today I went outside and delied"). Either way it's an impressive sign.
